My commitment to environmental conservation stems from concerns that environmental pollution is a crucial element in determining disease causation and effects on human health. Both academia and work experiences have helped me to promote environmental health, awareness and choices in nutrition for a healthy and affordable lifestyle. I take into consideration the economic, social, cultural and current environmental approaches to evaluate pollution in an area, and utilize this data and information to help trace the pathways that often lead to disease. I keep learning about how connecting people to their environment is so important. We need to have a sense of place and a sense of belonging to adjust our every day choices and activities, sustainably and responsibly. We can do this together!

Professor Chimezie Anyakora is the Chief Executive Officer of Bloom Public Health Group. He holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and taught at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lagos for over a decade. He has also been involved in Public Health and Medicine Quality research. Prof. Chimezie Anyakora was the Nigeria Country Director for the United States Pharmacopeia. Prior to that he consulted for the Global Health Impact Program where he worked on Public Health projects across various African countries including Nigeria, Cameroon, Congo, Malawi, Ghana, Tanzania, Uganda, Congo Brazzaville and many more. He is very active at various public health regional initiatives on the continent. As the country lead of the United States Pharmacopeia and the Chief of Party of the Promoting the Quality of Medicines program in Nigeria Professor Anyakora led the development and execution of the overall project strategy in Nigeria. He is now leading Bloom Public Health Group and continues to advance Public Health on the continent especially in different African countries where Bloom Public Health has offices including Nigeria, Rwanda, Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe and Cameroon. Lately he has been doing a lot in the vaccine space. Through Bloom Public Health Group he supported Nigeria in the development of the National Vaccine Policy and worked with the country on a WHO funded vaccine manufacturing ecosystem mapping. He is currently leading the localization of pharmaceutical manufacturing on the continent through various Bloom Public Health Group projects.

Maria Valentina Sanchez Picot, DVM, is a global health and clinical research expert with over 20 years of experience leading infectious disease research, capacity-building programs, and health systems strengthening initiatives across more than 20 low- and middle-income countries. I am internal medicine and family medicine specialist.I am currently employed at the Family Medicine Clinic in Opole, where I serve as a family doctor and the Chief Medical Officer. My responsibilities include improving the quality of medical care, mentoring young doctors, and providing health services to the residents of Opole. My primary area of interest in family medicine practice is diabetology and communication between doctors and patients. Therefore, I actively participate in conferences, training sessions, and webinars to continuously expand my knowledge and share it. Dr Declan McKeown is a Consultant in Public Health Medicine with the Irish Health Service Executive’s National Health Intelligence Unit. A native of Belfast and a medical graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, he worked in a number of hospitals before choosing a career in Public Health.He emigrated to Australia in 1993, working in a number of primary care practices in urban and outback settings. He became Medical Director of the Goldfields Public Health Unit in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia and completed Higher Specialist Training for Public Health in Melbourne in 1997. He returned to Ireland in 1998, as Public Health Specialist/Lecturer in the west of Ireland. Following three years as Director of Public Health, he moved to the Department of Health and Children, where he co-wrote the Irish Public Health Emergency Plan.He moved to the National Health Intelligence Unit in 2009 and has been involved in the development and roll-out of a number of the NQAIS projects (National Quality Assurance and Improvement System) which focus on hospital safety and quality improvement. He maintains a significant teaching commitment aimed at Specialist Registrars in Public Health Medicine and has a particular interest in measuring and mapping deprivation and related social indicators. During the COVID pandemic in Ireland, he assisted in the construction of Health Atlas’ real-time COVID dot map monitoring of active and recent cases, and the development of real-time COVID “heat mapping” to show incidence and change in incidence, thereby assisting in the control and containment of COVID “hot spots”.

Derrick Neal is the Chief Public Health Officer for the Cambridge Public Health Department, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Throughout his career, Derrick has demonstrated exceptional leadership ability, community engagement and collaboration, and competency managing local, state, and federal public health services and mandates in large public health departments. Most recently, he served as the Executive Director of the Williamson County and Cities Health District in Round Rock, Texas. Before that, he spent three years as director of the Victoria County Public Health Department in Victoria, Texas, as well as three years as the director of the City of Abilene-Taylor County Public Health District in Texas. Additionally, Derrick spent a decade working for the City of Houston as an administration and special projects manager in the Public Works and Engineering Department and as the administrative supervisor of the city’s Health and Human Services Department. Derrick is the past president of the Texas Association of City and County Health Officials. He is a PhD candidate in public administration and has a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Illinois, Springfield.

Dr Javaid qualified from Cambridge University and completed his VTS training in Northampton. He has a specialist interest in cardiology and echocardiography and was a clinical lead in the Northamptonshire Community Cardiology service, which had a focus on patients with heart failure and valve disease. He was also the primary care Cardiovascular lead for the East Midlands Clinical Network from 2013-2020. He was named Pulse “GP of the Year” in 2015 for his work in reducing stroke emergency admissions in the East Midlands. Head of the Living Lab for Health at IrsiCaixa where she sets up and facilitates systems innovation partnerships where different stakeholders work on complex and persistent health challenges to increase their impact. Dr. Zorka Inić was born on December 4, 1981. During her sixteen years of work at the Institute of Oncology and Radiology of Serbia in Belgrade, she has independently performed a large number of surgeries, primarily for breast cancer, followed by thyroid and parathyroid tumors, melanoma, and other skin cancers, as well as sarcoma surgeries. She passed the oral doctoral exam in Oncology on February 18, 2011. and on December 22, 2015, she completed her doctoral academic studies with the dissertation

Her experience includes Phase I, II and III studies, observational, pediatrics and devices.
