🛂 Visa Requirements

Depending on your nationality, you may require a Schengen short-stay visa (Type C) to enter the Czech Republic for tourism, business, or academic purposes.

🔹 Who Needs a Visa?

  • EU/EEA/Swiss citizens: Do not require a visa to enter the Czech Republic.
  • Non-EU/EEA nationals: May require a Schengen visa for stays up to 90 days.
  • Visa-exempt countries: Citizens of countries such as the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia, South Korea, and others can enter visa-free for up to 90 days within a 180-day period.

🔹 How to Apply for a Visa

  1. Locate the nearest Embassy or Consulate of the Czech Republic in your country.
  2. Prepare the following required documents:
    • Valid passport (minimum 3 months’ validity beyond your intended stay)
    • Completed visa application form
    • Recent passport-sized photographs
    • Proof of financial means (bank statements, salary slips, or sponsorship letter)
    • Invitation letter from the conference organizers (available upon request)
    • Proof of Travel Insurance
  3. Schedule an appointment and attend your visa interview.

🌍 Arriving in Prague

✈️ By Air:

Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG) is the main international airport, located approximately 17 km west of the city center.

Transport options to the city:

  • Airport Express (AE) Bus – Direct service to the main train station (approx. 30 minutes)
  • Public Bus + Metro – Economical option via Lines 119 or 100
  • Taxi or Rideshare (Bolt, Uber) – Travel time around 25–35 minutes depending on traffic

🚆 By Train:

Prague is well connected by international and domestic trains. The Praha hlavní nádraží (Main Station) offers direct links to major cities such as Vienna, Berlin, Budapest, and Warsaw.

Prague offers a diverse range of accommodation — from boutique hotels and apartments to luxury stays — many located conveniently near the conference venue and the city’s historic attractions.
